Desk-sharing is an important part of New Work and the ideal concept for hybrid work, as it has many advantages. Many companies rely on the concept to increase employee satisfaction, while others use it to promote a modern corporate culture or to optimize office resources and save money.

However, most companies opt for the concept mainly in order to benefit from the financial advantages of this model. After all, it is not uncommon for workstations to be empty in offices when employees are ill, on a business trip or on vacation.

A desk-sharing ratio of 1:1.25 is generally assumed. This means, for example, that 40 workstations are available for 50 employees.
